Theme

One possible theme of this book is you have to get getting up and trying even though you think you don't stand a chance. For example, Katniss when she was starving after her dad died, and she thought she was going to die, Peeta gave her the bread, and she revived. Even though she isn't rich or has a lot of food, she pushes and takes care of her little sister, and her mother. She goes out hunting, which is illegal, to keep her family alive. Even in the Games when she almost dies of dehydration, she keeps going, and finds water. Or when she has the chance to team up with Peeta, she takes care of him, getting him medicine, treating his leg, and getting him food. She helps him recover even when she knows that he is just holding her back.
