Setting

The Hunger Games book, takes place in a futuristic country called Panem. There are twelve districts now, and the Capitol in this made up place. The Capitol is in the middle of all of the districts. The beginning of the book takes place in District 12, and the woods outside of the the district. The next place in the book is the train that takes Katniss, and Peeta to the Capitol. Then it's the Capitol where the tributes from each district get cleaned, and ready for their chariot rides, interviews, and training. The places inside the Capitol include the training center, the district's levels in the tribute house. The next half of the book takes place in the arena. The arena has a lake, and lots of trees with a stream and a river.  The arena also has some hill and valleys. Then after the Games are over, the two remaining tributes get on a train to go home.
