Other Major Characters

 The second main character is Peeta Mellark. He is in love with Katniss. Then there is Haymitch. He is the only living former victor for District 12 who mentors Peeta and Katniss throughout the Games. Another important character is Gale Hawthorne. He hunts with Katniss and promised her that he would keep food on her family's table while she was gone. There is also Prim Everdeen. She is Katniss' little sister who is the reason Katniss got into the Games in the first place. Prim's name was called at the reaping, but Katniss volunteered to save her sister. Other major characters include Cato and Cinna. Cato is the last tribute left for Katniss and Peeta to defeat, and Cinna is Katniss' stylist who she becomes very good friends with.
